Girl as Kiki?

I saw this image through purple magazine's blog and it took me to Jaime Martinez's website...inspiring photos. This one especially grabbed me since it reminds me of Miyazaki's "Kiki's Delivery Service" -- one of my favorite films. The only thing missing here is Jiji, Kiki's cat.

Lucy enters the wardrobe

It seems I am revisiting my childhood inspirations (something I do a lot actually).
I loved this cartoon of "The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe" directed by Bill Melendez in 1979.
I still remember watching it for the first time: Burnt Hill Road School, in the library, 2nd grade.
This part when Lucy first encounters the wardrobe was and still is so magical to me.
Mr. Tumnus is pretty great too, and I would love to have tea and toast with him while he plays the flute!

Fioruccino

This is a sticker I have kept since my Fiorucci days when I was little in the '80s.
They made the coolest kids clothes.
The store in NY was incredibly inspiring and the clothes were treasures. I still have a tee shirt with the classic Fiorucci angels on them, too tiny to wear now although still in great shape.
Those were the days!

MAUD FRIZON - hiver 1985/86

One of my favorite images (photo taken by Dominique Issermann) on a postcard sent from my sister. I love its magical quality. It kind of reminds me of childhood.
